From France to New York

Bonjour, I’m Angélique. Ever since I was a little girl in France, I’ve been obsessed with creating things that last. Like painting birds for my mom’s kitchen. She still has them. Yes, I’m also a painter. I dream a lot, and I love turning ideas into little pieces that carry a story. Yours, mine, ours.

After four years in fashion school, exploring clothing and learning the foundations of design, my story as a leather craftswoman truly began at 19, when I literally knocked on Hermès’ door and said, “Hey, I want to work for you.” The director said, “Let’s try.” And so began fifteen years of beautiful moments… and challenging ones too. Along the way, I had the chance to teach, and that experience showed me the humility and power of sharing a passion. Teaching became a way to spread my love for craft, and it’s still at the heart of everything I do.

Fifteen years later, I find myself in New York, carrying all those stories with me. I care for old bags with histories, pieces that pass from a grandmother, to a daughter, to a granddaughter, and I create new ones that will carry their own stories, waiting to be cherished. Every stitch, every color, every curve holds a memory, or the promise of one. This is my new chapter. My atelier. My story. And I hope you’ll be part of it.
